The key to a winning team is the ability to exit their zone quickly before the opposing team is able to have sustained pressure. Having good puck support is important in order to make these exits, centres running good routes in order to support the puck, wingers having the ability to get the puck off the wall and defence popping the puck or making good first passes are all skills that will be covered.
In order to create pressure in the offensive zone, you need to get in and have possession as quickly as possible. Some of the options we will cover that will allow these players to gain this possession will be soft chips, taking the defence sticks (picks) and centre drives.
